Why are women more interesting to men than men to women?

I wouldn't say that women are more interesting, just more attractive.

At first glance it may seem like an insignificant difference, but it contains a background that, at least for me as a woman, has made me quite uncomfortable since I realized it: a large number of men are not interested in women as people, but as women. That is, they are not very interested in our personality, our interests, our plans, our opinions, or anything we have to tell. What matters is the fact that we are women, which automatically makes us an object of desire. Sometimes it doesn't matter so much how attractive we are. A woman may not be the ideal type of a particular man, but as long as she is moderately or slightly attractive, she will get his attention and desire (later, if the attraction is mutual, the man may raise his standards and demand " further".

With women it is somewhat different. We're not socialized to blatantly objectify men (although, anticipating comments arguing otherwise, I know I'm generalizing and there are women who do, just like men who don't), so we don't tend to see them as a body and that's it, at least when considering a long-term relationship (and another topic would be casual relationships). Between that and the usually high amount of male attention we tend to receive, we can afford to be a little more selective when it comes to deciding who we want to be with. For example, a man who seeks to attract attention with a phrase such as "hello, how beautiful" -something so common that it is even somewhat unpleasant-, will not stand out or impress.
